Dian Zagorchinov is an independent cinematographer and director of photography, shooting fiction, documentaries, TV commercials and image films. He is experienced with 35mm, Super16 and various digital video formats. He is familiar with most of the camera systems including ARRI, Panavision and RED.

With a deep passion for lighting and composition, he is always filming with the best balance between beauty, functionality and experiment, still without letting the camera overwhelm the storytelling.

Dian Zagorchinov took Masters in Film and TV Cinematography at the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria. He was invited in the Budapest Cinematography Masterclass 2007 with master-cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC, HSC.

He was awarded with Student Cinematography Award at the ‘Golden Eye’ Cinematography Festival in Popovo, Bulgaria and Best Cinematography Award at the ‘Early Bird’ Student Film Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria. He was in the Kodak Showcase Selection at the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival 2009, France.
